I stretch (well, as much as a potted Monstera can stretch) and let the warmth soak in.

Every photon feels like a compliment.

I imagine the sun saying, “Looking radiant today, Mo,”

and honestly, it’s right.

The sun’s up. My favorite time. Everything feels soft, and I can finally start making energy again.

I’m basically solar-powered, you know.

Across the room, my human stirs. The sound of clinking mugs and a yawn. Here comes the coffee ritual again.

I don’t get why humans need hot bean juice to function. I just… stand here and convert light.

Seems simpler.

They always forget to water me before coffee.

Priorities, I suppose.

By the window, I notice the sky stretching too, turning from honey to blue.

My human finally quenches my thirst with some nice, fresh, tapwater.

Outside, a pigeon gives me the side-eye. Typical.

Doesn’t appreciate fine indoor foliage.

It’s going to be a good day. I can feel it in my roots.
